Experience Through Their Eyes

A Taste of Laos recently moved to a new location, and it's a fantastic upgrade! The food remains amazing, and they now offer fountain drinks with refills, which is a great addition. Portions are generous, and the staff is always friendly and happy to answer questions about their authentic Laotian cuisine--a true gem in the Waco area. I had the Spicy Noodles with Chicken, and they were delicious! Be warned, even the 'medium' spice level packs a punch, so if you're unsure, go with 'mild.' My partner had the Fried Pork Belly plate with fried rice and absolutely loved it. Everything is made to order, and they're great at accommodating dietary restrictions. Highly recommend giving it a try!

We're always on the hunt for good local Asian cuisine, and this may just be our new go-to! Taste of Laos is definitely worth the trip! We tried the chicken egg rolls, orange chicken with fried rice with yum yum sauce, and chicken Lao Mein!

Enjoyed the food. The portions are big. The food was authentic. The service was great and the cashier was informative. We ordered several items on the menu to taste a little bit of everything. The Laos tea was tastier than expected and paired well with all of the dishes. The Pho was authentic and the noodles were cooked perfectly.

I dare say, this place has the BEST Chinese crispy roast pork in TX, not just in Waco. It's not too salty but so crunchy and juicy. I just wish that the pork plate comes with some vegetables like cucumbers or salads, because pork is quite heavy with all the fat. But, it's still so good. Pho was great too. This place is one of the few Asian gems in Waco, and we must treasure it. And the server was very kind too :)

I'm critical when it comes to a good bowl of pho. I'm Viet and grew up eating Pho every weekend. If I legitimately did not want to wait 8 hours to make my own pot I would actually come here for Pho. There are Viet restaurants in Waco area that can't even make a bowl as good as this. The prices are a bit steep for a bowl but they make up for it with the bits of beef they put in it. I would have to say this is the best Pho in Waco but that's not saying much since the bar is low. Eggrolls have crunch and lots of rice noodles? not to much meat inside almost think it was vegetarian but I'm not hating on it as flavors were there and wouldn't hesitate to order it again. Crispy Pork Belly with sticky rice. Yo this is fire. Really legit and most likely be a repeat for the future visits. It's probably because of this dish I will be coming back. I lost all hope for Asian food since I moved here to Waco but this place has really open that hope back up for me and it's good for the area. It's in the Chevron Gas station and you can get drink next door to drink with your meal but the drinks aren't cold. It's a solid 5 Waco Stars 2 days later update: I really wanted to get some Laos Sausage but was unable to because they ran out. So I subbed for the BBQ ribs which came with an egg. Then Papaya Salad that had some fried crunchy chicharrons and a side order of fried rice. Everything I had was A-Mazing!! Who ever is cooking this food knows what they are doing. There is a passion for great tasting food from the Kitchen here.

Have seen this place a few time and finally gave it a try. It's really good! My fiance has a peanut allergy and when asked they were able to accommodate easily. I got the shrimp pho and it's to die for! Definitely coming back here again!
